Luis Castillo Shuts Down Cards on Tuesday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo was excellent in a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. Castillo allowed just one run over six innings while racking up eight strikeouts. The outing was a nice bounce-back for Castillo after he had looked hittable over his previous two outings. Overall, the young fireballer has a 6-1 record, 2.38 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 90 strikeouts in 75 2/3 innings of work. He remains a must-start for his next outing, which will come against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday.
