Logan Webb To Get A Little Extra Rest
1 year agoThe San Francisco Giants will give right-hander Logan Webb a little extra rest heading into the start of the second half of the season this weekend. They'll open the second half with right-handers Ross Stripling on Friday and Alex Cobb on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and their Sunday starter is currently listed as TBA. Webb led all of baseball in the first half of the season with 19 starts and 126 innings pitched, so the Giants will take it easy on him and hold off on starting him until next week against the Cincinnati Reds. The 26-year-old had a strong first half for the Giants and fantasy managers alike, going 8-7 with a 3.14 ERA (3.23 FIP), 1.11 WHIP, 23 walks and 127 strikeouts, so he'll remain a must-start for fantasy managers in the second half.
