Kyrie Irving Posts His First Double-Double
2 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving logged his first double-double of the season on Friday, and he did it with rebounds in a 120-116 victory over Atlanta. Kevin Durant led the way with 34 points and Irving supported him with 33 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. In 39 minutes of action, Irving also picked up three assists with six turnovers. He shot 11-for-21 from the field, including 5-for-9 from three-point land. Off-court drama hasn't kept Kyrie from enjoying his basketball this season, as he's averaging 25.3 points per game with 4.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and a career-high 1.1 blocks. He's recorded 33 points in back-to-back games and should do well again in the next game against Indiana, having averaged 27.7 points on over 51 percent shooting versus the Pacers this season.
