Kyle Wright Throws First Bullpen Session
1 year agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) felt good after throwing his first bullpen session on Friday, and he's still hoping he can return in early September. Wright threw off a mound on Friday for the first time since he suffered a right-shoulder strain at the beginning of May, but he still has a ways to go before he can return to Atlanta's starting rotation. Even if the 27-year-old is able to return when he hopes, he won't have much time to contribute in fantasy. Wright won a league-high 21 games in 2022 and posted a career-low 3.19 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 30 starts, but he had a 5.79 ERA (4.46 FIP), 1.77 WHIP, 10 walks and 20 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings over five starts before his shoulder injury earlier this year.
