Khalil Shakir Standing Out This Offseason
1 year agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir has been impressive during spring practices and could be pushing for a regular role in three-wide sets this year in Buffalo's offense. Last year's fifth-round selection out of Boise State barely factored in on offense in 2022, catching 10 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown in 14 games (two starts). However, he did have five catches for 91 yards in two postseason games, and Isaiah McKenzie is now gone. The 23-year-old will be competing with Trent Sherfield and Deonte Harty for the No. 3 receiver job behind Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Shakir should have a bigger role in his sophomore season, but it's unlikely to be big enough to warrant fantasy attention in standard 12-team leagues.
