Kevin Parada Promoted to Triple-A Syracuse
Kevin Parada has been promoted to Triple-A Syracuse. The 24-year-old made year-over-year strides on offense, going from a .214 average with a 33.7 percent strikeout rate and .663 OPS in 2024 to a .254 average, 27.8 percent strikeout rate, and .754 OPS in 2025. The former first-round draft pick was the Mets' third-ranked prospect in 2023, but has since fallen outside the top 30. Francisco Alvarez is entrenched as the team's starter, but has been limited to 56 games this year as a result of both underperformance and injury, so there could be an opportunity for Parada to continue to climb the ladder if he can keep up the momentum.
