1 year agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett will start Friday's preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pickett will start, but he's unlikely to play a ton in this one. The 25-year-old is entering his first full season as Pittsburgh's starting signal-caller, and he has been looking good in training camp this summer. He showed some flashes of playmaking abilities in his 13 games (12 starts) in 2022, throwing for 2,404 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. The first-rounder can run a bit and has the weapons to take the next step in his sophomore season. However, the Steelers are expected to remain pretty committed to the run, and his fantasy ceiling figures to be relatively low.
