3 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels activated outfielder Justin Upton (back) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and optioned outfielder Taylor Ward to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Upton has been sidelined since the end of June with a lower back strain, and he'll immediately return to left field and hit third on Thursday against Minnesota Twins right-hander Kenta Maeda. The 33-year-old outfielder was hitting a cool .338/.463/.631 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games in the month of June, so his fantasy managers are hoping he can pick up right where he left off before his injury. With 14 long balls, 32 RBI and an .816 OPS in 223 at-bats this year, Upton should be picked up in mixed leagues if he was dropped by his previous owner.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
