Juan Soto's Arm Still Tender
4 years agoWashington Nationals manager Dave Martinez said that outfielder Juan Soto (shoulder) took batting practice at the team's alternate training site in Fredericksburg, but he hasn't thrown yet because his left shoulder is "still tender." Once Soto is able to throw, he'll play in a few minor league games with Fredericksburg. The Nationals will take it slow with one of the best all-around players in baseball. It's not exactly the news that fantasy managers want to hear, though, and they'll have to remain patient with the 22-year-old slugger. There's still a chance that Soto will be able to return from the injured list sometime next week, barring any setbacks with his rehab assignment. Soto has a .300/.410/.460 slash line with two home runs, eight RBI and a steal in his first 14 games of the season.
