Juan Soto Might Not Be Out Long
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto, who tested positive for COVID-19, took multiple instant-result coronavirus tests on Thursday -- both saliva and nasal -- and the results were negative, according to sources. This doesn't clear Soto to play Thursday or in the coming days, as he'll need to receive back-to-back negative results through the labs MLB has contracted to process samples. The tests have to be at least 24 hours apart. Andrew Stevenson got the start in Soto's place against the Yankees on Thursday night. We have know way of knowing how long Soto will be out, but the two negatives on Thursday might be a good sign. That's what Soto's fantasy owners are hoping at least, as the left-handed hitting slugger is one of the best young ball players in baseball and is a must-start in fantasy when he's on the field.
