Josiah Gray To Start On Sunday Against Rockies
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that right-handed pitching prospect Josiah Gray will make his first major league start on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies. Gray served as the team's bulk arm on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants in his major league debut and allowed four runs on four hits (three home runs), but he did manage to strike out seven batters. The 23-year-old has an electric arm as the club's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, although he's thrown just 19 2/3 innings in the majors and minors combined in 2021. The former shortstop has a great fastball-slider combination that will make him enticing as a streamer in daily fantasy and single-season leagues, especially with the game being at Dodger Stadium. Just don't expect a ton of fantasy value the rest of the way in redraft leagues.
