Jorge Polanco Activated From Injured List
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins activated infielder Jorge Polanco (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Friday and optioned right-hander Cole Sands to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Polanco is right back in the starting lineup on Friday against Kansas City Royals right-hander Brady Singer, playing third base and batting fifth for the Twins. The 30-year-old switch-hitter looked good during his minor-league rehab assignment and should be a lineup regular for Minnesota now that he's back. Because of his power/speed combination, Polanco is attractive in mixed fantasy leagues, although he's had a tough time staying healthy. In just 120 at-bats in 2023, he's hitting .250/.291/.450 with five homers, 16 RBI and 11 runs scored.
