Jonathan India Increases Baseball Activities
1 year agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (heel) took ground balls on the field on Wednesday as he increased his baseball activities following some rest after he was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday due to plantar fasciitis in his left heel. The good news is it is believed to be a minor issue, and the Reds are hoping India will miss the minimum amount of time and rejoin the club on Aug. 8, when he's eligible to come off the IL. The 26-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year in 2021 has bounced back in 2023 after a down season in 2021. In his 103 games for the Reds so far this season, he's slashing .251/.336/.409 with 14 home runs, 20 doubles, 52 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 68 runs scored in 453 trips to the plate and 103 games. India should be stashed in most fantasy leagues with his return likely coming next week.
