3 months agoUtah Hockey Club defenseman John Marino (upper body) is now considered day-to-day by the team, reports Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports. Marino was initially listed as week-to-week last Thursday. However, it looks like he has taken a big step forward in recovery and could be considered for game action soon. Marino was an offseason acquisition for Utah and is penciled in for a top-four role. He is coming off a 25-point campaign in 75 games with the New Jersey Devils. The 27-year-old boasts 107 points (18 goals, 89 assists) in 328 career games, meaning Marino doesn't have a lot of offensive upside.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
