Johan Camargo Replaces Adam Duvall On NLCS Roster
4 years agoAtlanta Braves utilityman Johan Camargo is replacing outfielder Adam Duvall (oblique) on the National League Championship Series roster after Duvall suffered an oblique injury in Game 1 against the Dodgers on Monday. Duvall will be ineligible for the World Series if the Braves advance. Manager Brian Snitker said that Duvall "popped that thing pretty good" during his at-bat on Monday. Camargo, a switch-hitter, batted only .200 in 35 games this year, but he's played right field, left field and all four infield positions since the start of 2019. Duvall had 16 home runs this year, which was tied for third-most in the National League, but he was just 2-for-20 in the postseason. Rookie Cristian Pache should see more playing time with Duvall sidelined in the NLCS.
