1 year agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Joey Gallo (eye) is starting in center field and batting in the nine-hole for the Twins on Monday against right-hander Luis Castillo and the Seattle Mariners. Infielder Willi Castro (eye) is also back in the lineup, starting at third base and batting sixth. Both Gallo and Castro are returning from a bout with conjunctivitis, and it's Gallo's first appearance in a starting role since last Thursday. Gallo's all-or-nothing approach continues, as he's gone just 4-for-35 (.114) in 16 games in the month of July, although three of his hits cleared the fences. Castro, a 26-year-old Puerto Rican switch-hitter, has been useful to fantasy managers in 2023 for his speed. He's currently hitting .246/.320/.366 with five homers, 21 RBI, 23 steals and 36 runs scored in 224 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
