Joe Musgrove Being Pushed Back Due To Shoulder Soreness
1 year agoSan Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove (shoulder) has "minor" right-shoulder soreness and has been scratched from his scheduled start on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. Reliever Nick Martinez will serve as the opener instead. Musgrove is being pushed back to the start of the series against the Seattle Mariners next week, which starts on Tuesday. Hopefully, the 30-year-old will be able to avoid a trip to the injured list and start next week. Musgrove has been great for the Friars and fantasy managers in 2023, going 10-3 with a 3.05 ERA (3.54 FIP), 1.14 WHIP, 21 walks and 97 strikeouts in 97 1/3 innings over his 17 starts. Martinez won't go more than an inning or two and should be avoided as a fantasy streamer at Coors Field on Wednesday.
