Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena (ribs) was able to do a workout with the team ahead of Monday's game against the Washington Nationals. Pena is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday. The hope is that Pena will only need a short stint in the minors. Astros general manager Dana Brown said the team is hopeful that Pena can return on Friday for their series against the Boston Red Sox. Pena has been sidelined since late June due to a fractured rib. Fantasy managers should check back for updates throughout the week.--Andy Webb
