Jasson Dominguez Likely To Miss First Half Of Next Season
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (elbow) is likely to miss all of the first half of the 2024 season after he was diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow over the weekend that will require surgery. The switch-hitting prospect has a bright future and become the youngest player in Yankees history since Mickey Mantle to homer and steal a base in the same game before his injury. Manager Aaron Boone said the 20-year-old's recovery will likely take nine to 10 months. Dominguez also became the youngest player in the modern era (since 1900) to homer in four of his first seven games. Dominguez slashed .258/.303/.677 with four homers, a double, seven RBI and a stolen base in his first eight major-league games. Despite being set to miss the first half in 2024, Dominguez will be worth stashing in all fantasy leagues next year.
