Jarren Duran Still Hurting Monday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran (toe) is not in the starting lineup on Monday for the series opener against the Houston Astros. Duran was pulled as a precaution on Sunday in the series finale against the New York Yankees due to a toe contusion. It's a day-to-day situation for Duran, who could be back in action as early as Tuesday's contest. Adam Duvall is playing center field and is batting fifth against Astros right-hander Cristian Javier. The 26-year-old Duran has broken out in his third year in the big leagues, slashing .295/.346/.482 with an .828 OPS, eight home runs, 34 doubles, two triples, 40 RBI, 24 stolen bases and 46 runs scored in an everyday role for Boston over 102 games.
