James Paxton Hopes To Get On A Mound By End Of Week
2 years agoBoston Red Sox left-hander James Paxton (hamstring) played catch on Wednesday in camp and is hoping to get back on a mound by the end of this week. In his Grapefruit League debut last Friday, Paxton suffered a Grade 1 right hamstring strain, which is expected to cause him to miss Opening Day. The 34-year-old starting pitcher missed all of the 2022 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he's only made six starts (21 2/3 innings) over the last three seasons with the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners due to injuries. This guy just can't stay healthy, so it makes him extremely hard to trust in fantasy.
