Jack Flaherty To Make Orioles Debut Thursday
1 year agoRight-hander Jack Flaherty will make his debut with the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday when he faces off against the Toronto Blue Jays on the road. The Orioles acquired Flaherty at the trade deadline on Tuesday for prospects Cesar Prieto and Drew Rom. The 27-year-old will try to help the O's make the postseason in 2023. The move to Baltimore isn't the best landing spot for Flaherty in a hitter's ballpark and in one of the toughest divisions in baseball. On top of that, he'll have an avoidable matchup for fantasy purposes on the road against the Blue Jays on Thursday. Flaherty went 7-6 with a 4.43 ERA (4.22 FIP), 1.55 WHIP, 54 walks and 106 strikeouts in 109 2/3 innings over 20 starts for the Cardinals before getting traded.
