Ja Morant Will Stay with the Grizzlies After No Team Made a Serious Offer
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (elbow) was not traded at the NBA Trade Deadline and will finish out this season in Memphis. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, multiple teams did have interest based onMorant's talent, but none were willing to make a serious offer. Morant has elite talent when he's healthy and not dealing with off-court issues, but he is currently sidelined by a UCL sprain, which is expected to keep him sidelined through the All-Star break. Morant has been limited to just 20 games this year, averaging 19.5 points, 8.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game. Ty Jerome and Cam Spencer will continue to play more minutes until he returns. When he comes back, the crowded backcourt will be tricky to figure out for fantasy purposes, especially with the team likely out of the race for the postseason.
