1 year agoKansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (hand, shoulder) should be cleared for contact in training camp by Aug. 20, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. Pacheco's hand is good, but it's his shoulder that is holding him back at this point. If the 24-year-old second-year back returns around then, he'll have almost 20 days to get ready for the regular-season opener on Sept. 7 against the Detroit Lions. In Pacheco's absence, rookie Deneric Price is cementing himself a spot on the final roster. After earning the starting job in 2022, Pacheco will be KC's primary back in the regular season, with Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire backing him up. However, it will be somewhat of a committee, which keeps Pacheco's fantasy value as more of a high-end RB3/flex.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
