Hunter Greene Could Return Against Cardinals
1 year agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Hunter Greene (illness) was scheduled to make his way from San Francisco to Cincinnati on Tuesday as he moves past being symptomatic from a bout with COVID. The Reds are still waiting to see whether he's fit to pitch, but the hope is that he could make his next start in the series against the St. Louis Cardinals that begins this Friday. The matchup would be a nice one for the hard-throwing 24-year-old, but he might not still be 100 percent and he's also allowed 15 runs (13 earned) on 18 hits (five home runs) while walking nine and striking out 14 in 12 innings over three starts since he returned from a lengthy stint on the injured list on Aug. 20. Greene will be a pretty risky fantasy lineup option in his next start on the mound.
