George Springer Hoping Hot Streak Is On The Horizon
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer hit a game-tying RBI single in the ninth inning as the Astros came back to edge the White Sox 4-3 on Thursday. It has been one of the rougher stretches for Houston's All-Star slugger, who is 5-for-53 (.094) over his last 15 games, and he hit only .190 in the entire month of June. Springer is far too talented to stay in this rut for long and still has 15 home runs with 43 runs batted in on the season. A hot streak could be on the horizon, and Friday night's game against the White Sox is a great place to start. It is a funky stat, but Springer has been the team's best hitter playing on Fridays. In 14 Friday games this season, Springer is slashing .373/.439/.745 with four doubles, five home runs, 14 runs scored and 14 runs batted in. Springer is worth a look as a sleeper play in DFS lineups for Friday.
