Garrett Wilson To Do Individual Drills Thursday
1 year agoNew York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) will do individual drills in training camp practice on Thursday, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Wilson suffered a minor low-ankle sprain at the beginning of training camp and has yet to return to team drills in practice out of an abundance of caution for the team's No. 1 wideout. The Jets don't expect the 23-year-old to be limited for much longer, though, and he still has plenty of time to get ready for Week 1. However, don't expect to see Wilson playing in this Saturday's preseason contest against the Carolina Panthers. After putting up a 1,000-yard season in his rookie campaign with shoddy quarterback play, Wilson is a lock as a top-12 fantasy wideout heading into his sophomore campaign with Aaron Rodgers now at QB in New York.
