First-Round Pick Dallas Turner Plays Sparingly In Big Win
The Minnesota Vikings played their most thorough defensive game of the season on Sunday in a victory against the Detroit Lions, but former first-round pick Dallas Turner did not see much involvement in the big win. Despite the Vikings getting their best performance of the season along the line of scrimmage, the second-year player from Alabama was a non-factor with just 14 defensive snaps, including only five in which he rushed the passer. The Vikings saw excellent pass-rushing performances from unlikely sources in tackle Jalen Redmond and linebacker Eric Wilson, but Turner didn't play much of a role in rushing the QB. He has just six tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks for his career and is still firmly behind teammates Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel midway through his second season. For managers in IDP leagues, Turner can be sent to the waiver wire without a second thought.
