Ezequiel Tovar Out on Tuesday
Ezequiel Tovar (ribs) is absent from the team's starting lineup for Tuesday's contest in Miami against the Marlins. Orlando Arcia will take over at the 6 and bat sixth against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Tovar was pulled from Monday's win over the Fish as a precaution with an injury to his left side near his rib. It sounds as though the 23-year-old's injury isn't serious at all, so he could be back in the starting lineup as soon as Wednesday after a day off. Arcia was recently picked up off waivers after he was cut by the Atlanta Braves and has only played in three games with the Rockies, going 3-for-9 with a solo home run. The veteran shortstop wasn't nearly as good in 14 games with Atlanta before being cut, hitting .194 (6-for-31) and losing his job to Nick Allen. Arcia will be a deep DFS sleeper against Alcantara, who has really struggled in 2025.
