Dennis Hildeby Signs Three-Year Extension With Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Dennis Hildeby signed a three-year, $2.525 million extension on Tuesday. It's a two-way deal for the first two years before converting into a one-way contract for the 2027-28 campaign. Hildeby was a restricted free agent after making his first six NHL appearances last season. He posted a 3-3-0 record, a 3.33 goals-against average, and a .878 save percentage. In the AHL, Hildeby had a 16-9-4 record with a 2.55 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and two shutouts. During the upcoming season, Hildeby will continue to develop his game in the minors but may also see some NHL action, depending on the status of Toronto's top goalies, Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll.
