Mike Trout Still Out Wednesday
Mike Trout (undisclosed) remains out of the lineup on Wednesday against the hosting Kansas City Royals due to a skin infection. Taylor Ward (head) will serve as the designated hitter in his return and will bat third against Royals right-hander Ryan Berget. Trout is being considered as day-to-day for now, but we have no idea when the 34-year-old three-time MVP might get back onto the field for the Halos. The 11-time All-Star has still shown decent power as he declines -- he has 20 long balls in 381 at-bats -- but he's hitting only .231 (88-for-381) and has stolen only two bases. The future Hall of Famer is limping to the finish line and hit just .214 (18-for-84) with one home run, seven RBI and a 38:19 K:BB in 24 games in the month of August. Check back on Thursday to see if Trout is available for the series finale in KC.
