Edward Cabrera Heading to Injured List With Elbow Sprain
Edward Cabrera (elbow) is heading to the 15-day injured list on Monday with a right-elbow sprain, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. It could help explain why Cabrera struggled in his most recent start, when he allowed six runs (five earned) in four innings over the New York Mets on Saturday. The 27-year-old right-hander will miss at least the next two weeks, and given the nature of his injury, fantasy managers cannot expect him to return for the season's final month. He could also require surgery, which might put his availability up in the air for the start of 2026. The Dominican hurler has been solid for the Fish in 2025, going 7-7 with a 3.57 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 140 strikeouts in 128 2/3 innings over 24 starts. Cabrera's 7.7% walk rate has been a career low.
