Eduardo Rodriguez Dealing With Personal Issue
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (ribs), who is currently on a minor league rehab assignment, is dealing with a personal issue and won't start for the Tigers or Triple-A Toledo this week, according to skipper A.J. Hinch. "Yeah. I'll update you in a couple days," Hinch said. The 29-year-old left-hander was expected to make another rehab start for Toledo this week, but that won't happen now, and it's unclear when he might return to Detroit's starting rotation. He's been out since May 22 with a left rib-cage strain and had a 4.38 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 34:17 K:BB ratio in 39 innings over eight starts before suffering his injury. Despite the uncertainty around his potential return, E-Rod should remain stashed in most fantasy leagues.
