DJ Stewart Missing Another Game
1 year agoNew York Mets outfielder DJ Stewart (back) is sitting for the second straight game on Wednesday as the team takes on the Washington Nationals in D.C. Stewart is dealing with lower-back tightness and should be considered day-to-day. With the 29-year-old left-handed hitter out again, Rafael Ortega will draw a start in right field and hit ninth against Nationals right-hander Joan Adon. Stewart has only seen 98 at-bats since being called up by the Mets, but he's hitting a decent .265/.348/.622 with a .971 OPS, 10 home runs, 21 RBI and 13 runs scored in only 39 games in Queens. He should be valuable in deeper fantasy leagues against right-handed pitching if he continues to see regular playing time the rest of the way.
