Differing Opinions On Mac Jones Among Patriots Brass?
1 year agoAccording to The Boston Globe's Ben Volin, New England Patriots president Jonathan Kraft is a staunch supporter of quarterback Mac Jones, and the Kraft family is fully invested in Jones succeeding after a disappointing sophomore season in 2022. However, head coach Bill Belichick doesn't share the same sentiments regarding the young signal-caller. While it was reported earlier this offseason that Belichick and Jones have smoothed out some of their differences from a season ago, it appears that Belichick and the front office don't see eye to eye when it comes to the 24-year-old. The third-year QB has reportedly looked much better in new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien's scheme during offseason workouts as he heads into a make-or-break season. If Jones struggles early, though, it will be interesting to see how New England handles the situation with Bailey Zappe waiting for another opportunity behind him.
