The Houston Texans are signing free-agent linebacker Devin White, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The sixth-year veteran was released by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month after signing a one-year deal with the team this offseason. White spent the first five seasons of his career as a Buccaneer after Tampa Bay selected the LSU product with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The 26-year-old was a productive defender in his time in Tampa, recording 91+ total tackles in each of his first four seasons. However, he did not appear in a game this year for Philadelphia after losing out on the starting job to the Eagles' Nakobe Dean. He's likely a depth piece for Houston, but White's athleticism could earn him a higher share of snaps than initially anticipated. The Texans will square off against their division-rival Indianapolis Colts this Sunday in Week 8.--Alex CiullaRead More News
