Davis Mills Worth a Waiver-Wire Pickup After Leading Texans to Comeback Win?
Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills led an improbable comeback on Sunday to help beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 36-29 in Week 10, throwing for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, and also rushing for 20 yards and another score. Mills was making his first start of the year with C.J. Stroud out with a concussion, and he didn't really do much until coming alive in the fourth quarter to lead the Texans all the way back. The 27-year-old's two touchdown passes went to rookie receiver Jayden Higgins and tight end Dalton Schultz. It was a spirited performance by Mills behind a suspect offensive line, but it could be short-lived if Stroud clears the league's concussion protocol to play in Week 11 against the division-rival Tennessee Titans. If Mills does get another start, he'd still only be a low-end QB2 streaming option in superflex leagues and would be unlikely to repeat his Week 10 performance.
