Cowboys Sign Kicker Brandon Aubrey
1 year agoThe Dallas Cowboys signed kicker Brandon Aubrey to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. Aubrey spent the last two seasons with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. The Cowboys didn't take much of a look at the veteran free-agent kicking market this offseason and chose not to re-sign Brett Maher after he missed five extra points in the playoffs. Aubrey will compete with Tristan Vizcaino for the starting job in training camp this summer. The 28-year-old was a star soccer player for Notre Dame and was taken in the first round of the 2017 MLS draft by Toronto FC. He was named an All-USFL kicker in his first year in 2022 and made 14 of his 15 field-goal tries and all 35 extra-point attempts this year.
