Corey Seager Dealing With Hamstring Injury
Corey Seager (hamstring) was being rested for the second straight day in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers in the series opener due to a right-hamstring injury. Seager has already been on the 10-day injured list already this season with a hamstring ailment, but it's unclear if this new injury is related. Even if it isn't, the 31-year-old is in danger of heading back to the IL unless he's able to return to the starting lineup soon. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if the two-time World Series MVP is playing in Game 2 of the series in Motown on Saturday. If Seager is out again or goes on the IL again, utility man Josh Smith would see most of the starts at the 6 for the Rangers. In 25 games in 2025, Seager has hit .281 (27-for-96) with four homers, three doubles, nine RBI and 12 runs scored for Texas.
