The Tampa Bay Lightning signed veteran winger Corey Perry to a $2 million two-year contract on Thursday. At 36-years-old, Perry is coming off a pretty solid regular season despite averaging just 13:44 minutes of total ice time per game for Montreal. In 49 contests, he produced nine goals and 12 assists. Tampa Bay knows what they are getting in Perry as he provides hard-nosed play while scoring crucial goals, especially in the playoffs. He will most likely settle in on Tampa Bay's fourth line. In addition, he may get the occasional sniff on the club's second power-play unit. As for fantasy hockey, Corey Perry doesn't have much value at this point of his career, and he will be taking on more of a checking role for the two-time defending Stanley Cup champs.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerRead More News
