Clayton Kershaw To Throw Simulated Game This Weekend
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Friday that left-hander Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) will throw a two- to three-inning simulated game this weekend, and if he feels good, "we will pencil him into the rotation." Assuming no setbacks this weekend, the 35-year-old future Hall of Famer could make his return to the starting rotation at some point next week against the division-rival San Diego Padres. He'll be much more risky in fantasy in his first start back since July 3, but Kershaw has been great when healthy in 2023 with a 2.55 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over his 16 starts. There's no reason why Kershaw should be on any waiver wires despite his long layoff this month due to injury.
