Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy wristed a shot past Jonathan Bernier off of a faceoff during an 8-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. The talented sophomore has blossomed into one of the best young rearguards in the entire league. McAvoy has been shouldering the offensive load on the backend with Torey Krug (ankle) sidelined. He's averaging around 20:00 TOI per contest and has put up five points through five games. He is not an elite fantasy option, but he is a solid D3 that can put up peripherals. --Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
