The Los Angeles Chargers have interviewed New England Patriots defensive line coach DeMarcus Covington and University of Houston defensive coordinator Doug Belk for their vacant defensive coordinator position, according to sources. Covington also interviewed for the same position with the Arizona Cardinals. The Chargers are looking for a new D coordinator after Renaldo Hill left for a coaching role with the Miami Dolphins. Another prime candidate for the job in LA is current defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley. Covington has been with the Pats since 2017 and coached the D-line since 2020.
