Carlos Rodon Placed On 15-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe New York Yankees placed left-hander Carlos Rodon (hamstring) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with a left-hamstring strain and reinstated right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga (elbow) from the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. The team also recalled left-hander Nick Ramirez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and designated right-hander Deivi Garcia for assignment in a corresponding move. Rodon left his start early on Sunday against the Houston Astros in the third inning and will now have to miss at least two weeks. The 30-year-old southpaw didn't make his Yankees debut until July 7 due to forearm and back injuries, and now he finds himself on the IL for the second time in 2023. Rodon hasn't been very good in his six starts, either, posting a 7.33 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in 27 innings.
