Carlos Correa Ahead of Byron Buxton in Recovery From Concussion
Carlos Correa (head) is ahead of outfielder Byron Buxton (head) in terms of returning from their concussions suffered last week when they were involved in a scary collision in the outfielder in a game versus the Baltimore Orioles. It is still to be determined on when either player would be ready to return to games, but Correa appears to be progressing more quickly. Both players are currently on the seven-day concussion injured list, with Correa being eligible to return this Friday. Until they are able to return, Brooks Lee will continue to see most of the playing time at shortstop in Minnesota, with Harrison Bader patrolling center field in Minnesota. Hopefully, Correa is able to gain clearance and return for this weekend's series at home against the division-rival Kansas City Royals.
