5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are strongly considering using the franchise tag on defensive end Shaquil Barrett if the two sides can't work out a long-term deal, according to a league source. If the Bucs use the tag on Barrett, they wouldn't be able to use one on quarterback Jameis Winston. Barrett had 14 sacks in his first four seasons with Denver before exploding for 19.5 sacks in his first year in Tampa in 2019. Was last year an outlier for the 27-year-old or will it become the norm? That's what Tampa must figure out, as well as fantasy owners in IDP leagues considering using a high pick on him for the 2020 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
