Bryan Woo Expected To Return Next Week
1 year agoSeattle Mariners rookie right-hander Bryan Woo (forearm) is throwing a bullpen session at Kauffman Stadium on Thursday, and if all goes well, the Mariners plan to activate him from the injured list early next week to have him start against the Chicago White Sox on the road. Seattle plans to go to some sort of six-man starting rotation at that point. Woo made his last start on Aug. 3 against the Los Angeles Angels and looked great, giving up two earned runs with six strikeouts in six innings in a no-decision. In his first major-league season, the 23-year-old has gone 1-3 with a 4.75 ERA (4.06 FIP), 1.24 WHIP, 17 walks and 60 strikeouts in 55 innings over 11 starts. Woo will be a matchup-based streamer down the stretch in deeper fantasy leagues.
