Bruce Zimmermann Turns In Decent Start Thursday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann kept his team in the game while he was on the mound during Thursday's 5-1 loss to the White Sox. Zimmermann pitched five innings, allowing a single run on six hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with six strikeouts. Unfortunately, the bullpen imploded once he left the game, but it was an encouraging start. The 26-year-old has had an overall disappointing season and now owns a 5.15 ERA through eight starts. His next start should be a tough matchup against the Twins at home, one that fantasy managers should avoid.
