Hideki Matsuyama Searching for Consistency at Travelers Championship
Hideki Matsuyama started 2025 strong but has cooled off recently, missing three cuts and posting only two top-25 finishes in his last eight starts. He aims to rebound at the Travelers Championship, where he has competed twice, finishing T23 and T13. Success at TPC River Highlands depends on driving accuracy, approach play, and putting. Matsuyama ranks 35th in strokes gained on approach (plus-0.387 per round), 77th in putting (plus 0.099), but just 135th in driving accuracy. He is, however, in the 93rd percentile in proximity from 100–150 yards, a key range that made up 35.5% of approaches here last year. At $8,100 on DraftKings, Matsuyama offers value, but his recent form should make managers consider other options before locking him into lineups.
