Rizvan Kuniev is scheduled to make his UFC debut against Curtis Blaydes on the main card of UFC Azerbaijan on Saturday. This booking is a bit strange as not many newcomers get a top contender right away for their first UFC bout. Kuniev earned his UFC contract with a dominant win on Dana White's Contender Series by defeating Hugo Cunha via first-round TKO. He is currently riding a 10-fight unbeaten streak.
